Kalyair Air conditioning Services Sydney | Campbelltown FAQ

Q. What is an Inverter?

Answer. Put simply, an Inverter driven Air Conditioner has the ability to change the speed of the compressor pumping the Hot or Cold gasses to your Air Conditioner.
Its speed is dependent on how much Heating or Cooling is required to satisfy the thermostat setting.
It runs (the majority of the time), at a reduced speed giving you a more consistent room temperature, lower running noise and most importantly up to a 30% reduction in running cost.

Q. What sort of warranty comes with the system?

Answer. Standard residential system usually comes with a 5 year Parts and Labour Warranty. While a commercial system is normally 2 years Parts and Labour Warranty. The exact application will need to be assessed before we can provide accurate warranty terms and conditions.

Q. What brands of air conditioners do you sell and recommend?

Answer. We sell and recommend Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin because they have an excellent track record of high-quality, reliable systems. They are also on the cutting edge of technology, so they are constantly releasing new and innovative systems that are more efficient and more reliable.

Q. How long does it take from approving the quote to installation?

Answer. Kalyair aim to have a seamless process and will endeavour to get your job completed as soon as possible following the acceptance of the quote.

Q. What is Air Conditioning?

Answer. The purpose of air conditioning is to control the filtration, air movement, temperature and humidity of an atmospheric environment. However, the more often used partial or comfort air conditioning which uses refrigeration equipment only and is therefore capable of cooling as well as dehumidifying is still referred to as air conditioning.

Q. How does an Air Conditioner Work?

Answer. Air conditioners perform two basic functions: heat removal and moisture removal. The lower the humidity level, the more comfortable you will feel at a given temperature. As your warm indoor air is drawn up through the filter, it passes over a very cold coil whereby the heat and moisture are removed. If you’ve ever noticed a PVC pipe running down your wall or roof that drips water, that is the moisture removed from your home.

Q. What is the best temperature to set for a comfortable environment
so that the Air Conditioner unit does not have to work as hard?

Answer. The best temperature to set your air conditioner on cooling will be between 20 to 23 degrees and on heating mode between 25 to 28 degrees that way you can save a significant amount of energy without your system running constantly. Balance between comfort and efficiency of the system.

Q. My Air Conditioner unit was purchased from someone else will you install it?

Answer. Yes, we install all brands and are more than happy to install.

Q. How does reverse cycle work?

Answer. In winter the reverse cycle take heat from the outside and moves it inside. In summer it moves heat from inside to outside, providing efficient cooling & heating.
